I finished a print that I designed for my sister’s new apartment. Nina Simone was a decorated singer, songwriter, pianist, and civil rights activist. Her body of work includes over 40 studio and live albums consisting of everything from jazz and soul to pop. Especially notable was the work Simone produced during the civil rights era. Her passion and devotion to her work left a lasting impression in African-American culture.
