taylor hijacked

Real quick — What do Kanye West, Michael Vick, and Chris Brown have in common? No one gives a s**t about their apologies. Mr. West, Mr. West, you made America’s sweetheart cry and for that, you must be forced to walk around with unusual designs shaved onto your head. Oh, what’s that? He already had those designs on his head?

Only Kanye West could get the whole nation to rally behind country music.

Gosh Darn It.

The diehard SNL fans know him best as Stuart Smalley, a classic character I grew up watching everyday during Comedy Central’s 80’s reruns. Well, he just won the democratic Senate primary in Minnesota. I’m actually really surprised he’s come this far. When it comes to politics, he’s always had his fair share of critics and controversy. To think that he could actually be a state Senator is pretty cool.

As far as the VMA‘s go, I think it was pretty underwhelming. The venue was rather small and the deliberate attempts to revive Britney Spears’ career were obvious. During the post show, Perez Hilton pretty much slammed Russell Brand for poking fun at the Jonas Brothers’ expense. That’s a bit ironic, considering this dude makes a living off trashing other celebrities. What a douchebag.

On a happier note, we finally have internet at the new apartment, which is always a good thing.

The Funny.

British people are hilarious. Why is that? Anything that comes out of Russell Brand‘s mouth makes me laugh hysterically. It’s the reason I can’t wait to buy Forgetting Sarah Marshall on blu-ray later this month (Mila Kunis could also be a reason) and why I’m actually looking forward to watching the VMA’s tomorrow night.

I heard this topic of conversation on the radio on my way to school earlier last week. And it’s most definitely true. The British are naturally talented, comedically. Maybe it’s the accent or perhaps it’s some unknown quality that us normal folk just don’t have. Who am I kidding — it’s defeinitely the accent. Everyone loves the accent.

Paper Cut.

I started watching The Paper on MTV for the first time, and I forgot how addictive television was. On the surface, the show sounds ridiculous. An entire series on a school paper? No thank you. But like anything that deals with high school, there’s tons of drama. And as we all know, drama directly results in entertainment.

But is that what we’ve come to? We’ve searched for every ounce of drama we could find and we’ve now settled for the drama involved with high school paper making? “Reality” television has hit a new low. But you have to hand it to the editors, they sure know how to make a boring idea look slightly interesting. I mean, I am watching it right now.
