“You can polish turd all you want, but no matter how bright it shines,
it’s still a piece a shxt.”

There’s a large part of me that wonders why I ever paid to watch movies. Advanced screenings are the greatest thing since the invention of velcro sneakers. I caught Observe and Report, yet another Seth Rogen comedy about a mall security guard on a mission to prove to everyone that he’s the hero he thinks he is. His character, Ronnie, was a bit different from what we’re used to seeing from him. But it’s good to see him explore a bit and try out some different roles. He’s not done yet either — Green Hornet is coming soon.

Anna Faris‘ timing was great and definitely got the most out of her supporting role, as did several others. Ultimately, the movie isn’t groundbreaking; it’s not even the best comedy I’ve seen this month. But the movie has some really funny moments that are worth seeing. Also, it has to be said, the twist at the end of the film caught me completely off guard. But it was hilarious. For all the wrong reasons.
