A cult classic that never should’ve been canned, Freaks and Geeks launched the careers of James Franco, Linda Cardellini, Seth Rogen, and Jason Segel. It premiered in 1999, won an Emmy, but ultimately lost the ratings battle. After watching a few episodes a while back, I knew it was a must have. I finally found a decent deal on the series DVD, and have been putting it to good use ever since.

I’ve never seen a television show that described high school years as well as this one. I can actually associate each character with a person from my high school class — a task that’s probably more amusing to me than it should be. If the powers that be knew anything about good television, this show along with Undeclared never would have been put on the shelves.
