alexis as rosie

As part of its 70th Anniversary, Glamour magazine is apparently celebrating 70 years worth of women taking risks and breaking rules by having today’s stars photographed as yesterday’s icons. And while the above photo of Alexis Bledel as Rosie the Riveter was an awesome choice, I am still trying to figure out how the selection process for all of this went down.

Amelia Earhart, Madonna, Audrey Hepburn, I can’t really argue with those. But of all the significant and revolutionary women in American history in the past 70 years, they decide to go with…….Carrie Bradshaw?! Seriously? I didn’t know make believe characters were in the running too! Forget Rosa Parks. Where’s the tooth fairy?
