transition

7:30 AM: Alarm goes off.

8: 05 AM: I realize what it is I’m waking up this early for.

8:36 AM: “Hail to the Chief” played for George W. Bush for the last time.

8:39 AM: Vice-President-elect Joe Biden introduced to the masses.

8:43 AM: President-elect  Barack H. Obama makes his first appearance.

8:50 AM: Opening Prayer.

8:54 AM: Aretha Franklin breaks out “My Country Tis Of Thee”.

8:57 AM: Wow. Look at the size of that bible.

8:59 AM: Vice-President-elect Biden.

9:00 AM: Barack Obama is officially President (even if the world doesn’t realize it).

9:06 AM: President Obama takes the stage.

And the rest, as they say, is history. Memorable, historic, monumental. Call it what you want. I’m just glad to be a part of it.
