I’ve become obsessed with the new Death Cab For Cutie album, Narrow Stairs. I went to sleep with a song in my head last night, and it stayed in my head until I woke up this morning. It comes as a relief because I really didn’t expect too much. It’s their second record after signing with Atlantic, and there were plenty of reasons for them to fail.
But each song proves to be better than the last. And I’ve grown to accept that nothing will ever top Transatlanticism (the greatest album ever made), and as a result, I’m enjoying each new record much more.
